Sarasota FL November 10, 1999
To all radio amateurs

Wyatt Bishop, Jr. K4VJI of Sarasota Florida became a silent key last night.

Wyatt was the President of the Sarasota Emergency Radio Club. Wyatt was a very effective leader and will be missed by every member of his club.

He was an inspiration to us all. He will be remembered as a friend to all and as a friend to ham radio. He will be sorely missed.

Condolences may be sent to his family at 5153 Tucumcari Trail, Sarasota, FL 34241

From Paul, KD4IDR: A Wyatt on-the-fly schematic for an Internet Repeater link interface for a GE VHF radio:

Just today, I was taking Line 22 to downtown Palo Alto and was telling some friends about Wyatt's bull 'Sonny' and his black dog 'Mort'. I can still hear Wyatt calling out "MORT!". I was telling them about one day when Wyatt let me feed Sonny some corn in a 5 gallon bucket. Sonny was a little bit cautious of me at first, but finally stuck his head in the bucket while keeping his big eyes on me. I guess I must have spooked Sonny as I backed away, cause he jumped a couple feet in the air. Not too bad for such a large animal. ;-)

Wyatt, you are sorely missed.
